New smaller "LS" MECHATRON® gravimetric and volumetric feeder, the right choice for cohesive materials

WHITEWATER, WI - "Compact, robust and feature rich are the terms being used to describe the new Low-Range Coni-Steel™ MECHATRON® gravimetric and volumetric feeder. Featuring a spun conical, stainless steel feed-hopper, 2-stage material agitator, dual load cell weigh-section and output rates up to 23 cubic feet (650 liters) per hour, the "LS" Model MECHATRON® is designed specifically for food, plastics, chemical and pharmaceutical applications involving cohesive materials. Successes to date include soy flour, Kevlar®, talc, dried egg powder, wood flour and color pigments.
 
Like all MECHATRON® feeders, the "LS" features:
  • Industrial and sanitary construction levels.
  • "Mechatronic" integrated, pre-wired, volumetric or gravimetric control packages.
  • The ability to disassemble, clean, reconfigure or service from the non-process side.
  • 1 ft³, 2.25 ft³ and 3 ft³ spun, conical stainless steel extension hoppers.
  • 360 degree connection clamps to eliminate material leakage.
  • Small 15" x 25" (380mm x 635mm) foot print (feeder only)
  • Profibus, DeviceNet, Modbus or Ethernet communications interfaces (optional)
  • Wash-down and explosion-proof motors and controls (optional)

                Overall, the MECHATRON® family of Coni-Flex™ (flexible walled) and Coni-Steel™ (all stainless steel) feeders are available in a variety of configurations capable of handling most dry materials at feed rates from 10 grams per minute to 1100 cubic feet per hour.
