AccuRate®'s new USDA 3-A accepted MECHATRON® Feeder is excellent for food and pharmaceutical process applications

SCHENCK AccuRate’s USDA 3-A Dairy Accepted MECHATRON® Feeder was designed specifically for use in the food, dairy, and pharmaceutical industries where equipment and processes must meet 3-A Dairy sanitary levels or equivalent.  Using the award winning MECHATRON® Feeder as the basis for the new offering, welds, radii, seals, surface finishes, gaskets and all contact and non-contact materials were reviewed and specified as directed by USDA inspectors.  Volumetric and gravimetric feeders compliant with 3-A sanitary standards resulted.  Available product features include AC and DC drive packages, an FDA / USDA accepted “Coni-Flex™” flexible conical feed-hopper (patent pending), helix configurations for feed rates from 0.30 to 330 cubic feet (8.5 to 9,300 liters) per hour and an unmatched ability to disassemble, clean, reconfigure, and service from the non-process side of the feeder.  
Additional benefits and features of the feeder include:
  • Smooth (32 micro-inch or better) and crevice-free product contact surfaces, which helps prevent the formation of bacteria.
  • A domed hopper cover and open bottom frame speeds and optimizes drainage during and after wash-down cycles.
  • The use of 304 and 316 stainless steel and 3-A sanitary polymers makes cleaning quicker and easier
  • Spun (weld-free) conical 316 stainless steel extension hoppers
In addition to the 3-A/USDA accepted MECHATRON®, AccuRate® also offers industrial grade versions of the MECHATRON® in a low range, mid range, and high range model with feed rates covering a range of 0.002 to 1,137 cubic feet (.58 to 32,160 liters) per hour.
