Designed and developed with direct involvement from pharmaceutical companies for pharmaceutical processes, Schenck AccuRate proudly introduces its new PureFeed® AP-300 auger feeder.  Developed in conjunction with an international group of pharmaceutical manufacturing and process people, the PureFeed® AP is available in volumetric and gravimetric configurations for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and even cosmetic applications involving feed rates from 500 grams / hour to approximately 150 Kg / hour.  Jet milling, continuous blending, medical-grade plastics compounding, packaging, coating, and ingredient weighing are just a few examples of applications the new PureFeed® AP-300 can satisfy. 

Like other Schenck AccuRate feeders, the PureFeed® AP feeder features a flexible hopper and programmable external dual-arm agitation system, to maximize material handling versatility.  However, for the first time, the PureFeed® AP uses flexible FDA-accepted EPDM feed-hoppers that’ are “disposable” and “recyclable”.  That means simpler, shorter cleaning cycles and virtually, no chance of cross contamination when moving from one material to another.  316L stainless steel is used for most other feeder parts and for both 4 liter and 36 liter extension hoppers and covers.  32 microinch RA finishes are standard on all contact surfaces with lower RAs available upon request.  Finally, the number of feeder pieces has been kept to a minimum and connections are made using sanitary quick-release clamps so disassembly, cleaning and reassembly is quicker and easier than ever.
