Schenck AccuRate, Inc. acquires the assests of South Carolina-Based SolidsFlow®, Inc.
WHITEWATER, WI - In a move aimed at expanding product offerings and strengthening market position, Schenck AccuRate, Inc. announced it has acquired the assets of its former competitor, SolidsFlow®, Inc.
Since 1975, South Carolina-based SolidsFlow®, Inc. has been marketing dry material feeders, bin dischargers and material spreading systems based on louvered vibratory technology. Today, SolidsFlow® products are especially well known for their ability to handle stranded fiberglass, abrasives and friable (easily damaged) materials.
Greg Fream, President and CEO of Schenck AccuRate commented, "The move demonstrates our commitment to growth through both internal and external resources. We expect the addition of SolidsFlow® products and know-how to substantially increase our ability to serve customers in a number of important industry sectors including plastics compounding and drywall manufacturing. Currently, efforts are underway to move inventory, manufacturing and material testing functions for the SolidsFlow® products to Schenck AccuRate's headquarters in Whitewater, WI. A sales & service office will be maintained in South Carolina.
The SolidsFlow® name will continue to be used as a product family name. The various products will be sold by both the Schenck AccuRate and Schenck Process units of Schenck AccuRate, Inc.
Schenck AccuRate, Inc. is a global supplier of bulk solids metering equipment and systems including MECHATRON® Volumetric and Gravimetric Screwfeeders, DEA & DMO Weighfeeders, Multicor Solids Flow Meters, SacMaster Bulk Bag Discharging Systems, BEMP Belt Conveyor Scales and DISOCONT® Control Systems.
